The Somerton Man
In 1948, a man’s body was found on a beach in Adelaide, Australia. He had no identification on him, and the labels had been removed from his clothing. Investigators found a scrap of paper in his pocket with the words "Tamam Shud" on it – Persian for "it is ended". Despite extensive investigation, no one has been able to determine the man’s identity, or the circumstances of his death.
